Drawn from earlier jewelry traditions, the pendant reflects a time when diamonds were cut by hand rather than formula. Old mine-cut diamonds create a pear-shaped frame, tapering gently toward the pear’s pointed end. At the diamond frame’s center is a 1.25 ct pear emerald secured by eight prongs. Both the diamond frame and the emerald are outlined by a semi-scalloped border in 14K yellow gold, defining their outer edge. Four silver-set diamonds line the bail, leading to a classic yellow gold chain finished with a spring ring closure.
