This exceptional miniature egg pendant represents the pinnacle of Imperial Russian craftsmanship by the House of Carl Faberge. Executed in Imperial 56K gold and finished with luminous translucent blue enamel over guilloche ground, the pendant is further enhanced by finely set old cut diamonds that add restrained brilliance and elegance. The pendant is signed with the 56K gold mark and the workmaster initials H.W., attributed to Henrik Wigstrom, the final senior workmaster of Faberge. Active from 1903 to 1917, Wigstrom succeeded Michael Perkhin and oversaw the creation of many of the Imperial Easter Eggs commissioned by Tsar Nicholas II between 1904 and 1917.
