According to documented historical records:
"A miniature painter of Neapolitan origin, Alessandro Curion was active in Rome where his studio was located at 22 Via del Babuino in 1912-1915. He is related to, and perhaps the son of, the miniaturist Ignazio Curion (Naples, January 15, 1828 - Rome, February 20, 1908) reported by Schidlof, La miniature en Europe (1964). His miniatures are rare, still for the most part preserved in the descendants of the models, and finely executed. Museum: A. Curion is represented in the Ploiesti Museum, Romania (portrait of a man dated 1905, inv. 6-4)."
